Your Map to Medicare
If you are turning 65, disabled, or over 65 and leaving an employer plan, you may have been flooded with advertisements, inducements, and other promotions urging you to sign up for this plan or that plan. It's all noise. Let's separate the signal from the noise.
We are going to give you tools to understand Medicare and those tools will give you a clear Map to Medicare. If you follow the map, it will save you hours of time and could save you money.
After years of doing small and large group presentations, individual meetings and working with municipalities, universities, and all sorts of businesses, we have developed a simple process that clarifies Medicare and your understanding of it. If you use these Four Questions, they will serve as guideposts for your Map to Medicare. Here are the questions:
- When do I enroll in Medicare A and B?
- Do I stay with Original Medicare A and B, and what’s the cost?
- Do I choose a Medicare Advantage plan, and what’s the cost?
- Or do I choose a Medicare Supplement, and what’s the cost?
Those are the questions. Now there are details within each one and we will look at those as we go. But spare yourself the angst generated by all those mailers and tv commercials. If you keep it simple, we promise you will be able to make an informed, intelligent decision regarding your healthcare coverage.
In the next four videos, we will cover each of those questions. After that our videos will start drilling down into how things work and what to watch out for. So come along for the ride.
